<aside> 👩🏼‍🏫 You are the captain now. You are in charge. Embody that responsibility.

1. If the professor wants to talk, they must raise their hand and be called on.
2. Other students do not have to raise their hand to talk. They can if they want, of course.
3. The teachers do not give the professor special treatment when calling on people. They give priority to students first, professor last.
4. The teachers call class to order, call on people when hands are raised, help troubleshoot problems with PowerPoint, pass around handouts, and so forth. In other words, they take on all teaching responsibilities for the day.
5. If the teachers, or anyone else, want the professor to go into professor mode temporarily, they need only ask.

Caveat: In the unlikely event that a discussion becomes inappropriate or I feel that some students are showing signs of discomfort for any reason, I will intervene. You may (gently and politely) do the same should you notice something I do not.
